About the Research Investments in Global Health Study (RESIN)
RESIN data has informed numerous policymaking, priority-setting and advocacy activities. These include:
The Missing Piece. RESIN data has been embedded in this white paper, focusing on the lack of global focus and investment into pneumonia. The full pneumonia R&D funding analysis is available in the open-access report Sizing Up Pneumonia Research.
Money and microbes: strengthening clinical research capacity to prevent epidemics. RESIN provided original data and expert comment, and are cited multiple times in the published report.
Informing pandemic response. RESIN have developed a dashboard covering R&D funding for all coronavirus research. Findings have been distributed to numerous stakeholders including the WHO and research funders.
The WHO have invited RESIN to their headquarters in Geneva to present on multiple occasions, for example see the 2016 meetings report that covered significant engagement with numerous stakeholders in Geneva, Brussels and London.
RESIN data has supported development of priorities in Ghana around infectious disease research, along with governance and research management training for Ghanaian policymakers.
