COVID-19 Ghana research
Dr Michael Head (RESIN team) and Dr Ken Brackstone, from our unit are currently undertaking urgent COVID-19 quantitative and qualitative data collection in Ghana to support pandemic planning and response. They have recently finished collecting data from over 3,000 Ghanaian residents in an online survey designed to gain information regarding knowledge, attitudes, and preventative behaviours around COVID-19. This is one of the first studies to measure these factors in a rural sub-Saharan African country since the COVID-19 pandemic begun, and is already being used to inform public decision-making regarding COVID-19 in Ghana. This study is being conducted as part of the GCRF Strategic Development Fund Award in collaboration with PACKS Africa, Opine World, and CROP in Togo.
Further information about the study can be found here.
